Recession has really struck us hard. I guess no household has been spared, their disposable incomes have been heavily disrupted, and with people being laid off without prior warnings has taken everybody unawares. People of all generations have been affected by this meltdown. Now’s the time for us to gear up, to realize that a penny saved is a penny earned. We need to reduce spending and start saving, to prepare ourselves for any uncertainties that might arise out of such a situation.. We must minimize our expenses and curtail heavily on overhead expenses. This can only be possible when we sensibly and effectively prioritize our daily household expenses, stop spending compulsively, start saving on fuel , start buying stuff from comparatively cheaper and more reasonable outlets. This might sound a little difficult but this can be handled.

The time just does not seem right either for school leavers or for those leaving graduate school. With stars in their eyes, these students had worked hard to get into their dream graduate school.
But with recession looming large, just hard work alone is not sufficient as money appears to be the reason many high schoolers are letting go of their dream schools and settling for second best.
A survey predicts that 71% of the high school graduates ruled out their choice of getting into a grad school of their choice because of money or the lack of it! Even parents who would pay any amount for prestige are doing a re think.
