If you have still not filed a return for the previous year and your return is due,its the ideal time for you to file for a refund. If your last year’s refund has been missed, you should contact IRS to confirm your current address.
What about unclaimed refunds?

IRS cautions individual taxpayers to keep a check on the levels of their federal tax income in order to avoid any shock next spring. With the current fiscal year almost nearing its 3rd quarter, its high time for us to start doing the needful regarding our tax payments.
