The most important question I am sure being asked right now by students and teachers all over the country is, whether Obama Stimulus Plan for Education is really the largest educational investment in US history?
On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) into law. While he was in the signing ceremony of the Stimulus Bill at Denver, Obama described this package to be amongst the ‘largest educational investment in US history’.

A $75 billion plan has been announced by President Obama on February 18 which aims at stopping the foreclosure of homes. This bill, called the Homeowner’s Stability Initiative (HSI) will help around 7 to 9 million Americans who are facing foreclosures by restructuring or even refinancing their mortgage. Because of the economic crisis in America a huge number of home owners are facing this trouble and through this Bill President Obama’s administration is hoping to help them.

The Alternative Energy industries have a lot to rejoice, now that President Barack Obama has signed the stimulus bill to its advantage on February 17, 2009. The stimulus package is of $787 billion is mainly focused on green jobs creation – ones that cannot be outsourced.
The bill was signed after a tour of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science that utilized solar panels attached to its roof for power generation. Blake Jones, the head of Namaste Solar Electric – a company based in Colorado that has installed solar panels for various high profile clients including the Governor of Colorado; had the privilege of introducing the president.

There is good news for those of you in California who are planning to buy a new home as well as for the builder’s community who are battling great slump in the real estate sector.
Last week California Lawmakers approved $10,000 Tax credit for home buyers in an effort to give impetus to the state’s recession hit real estate industry. This credit will hopefully motivate those perspective home buyers who are planning to buy their dream home.

The million dollar question which is in every American’s mind now a days is whether they will receive a second economic stimulus check from the government during the later part of the year as they received last year.
Though till now nothing has been decided or announced regarding the matter, yet there is an expectation in everyone’s mind that a second government stimulus checks will be sent. If it really happens then it will come around during the later part of this year.

The much awaited New Economic Stimulus Package (Second) has been passed by the Obama administration to battle the current economic downfall. With unemployment at its highest level in a quarter of a century, the banking industry is in crisis despite the bailout money given to the sector and the whole economy facing its worst crisis since the great depression 1929, this $ 819 billion stimulus package will give respite to the Americans who are finding it very hard to cope up with the ongoing economic crisis.
The Federal Stimulus Bill mostly emphasizes on spending increases and tax cuts to revive a badly ailing economy. The package includes aid to states and local governments to help them avoid cuts in medical coverage and school funding. The bill also would extend unemployment benefits and give unemployed workers subsidies for health care coverage.

A good financial planning for the newly weds or for those who are about to be getting married is a very important aspect of their future life together. Perhaps a bit more so given the distressing times in United States right now. Generally this extremely crucial step is avoided till the last minute if not totally over looked until there is no escaping it.
There is a tendency in most of us to consider financial planning as something which involves stuffs like old age pension provision, real estate decisions and other long term issues. But in actuality, this is not so.

The stimulus package signed by President Barack Obama on Tuesday carries good news for those laid off workers who were finding it difficult to continue with their group health plan or COBRA. Hopefully some of your concerns would be taken care off in the new stimulus bill has special provision for COBRA or Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act.
It is a decades old federal law, which refers to an extension of health insurance plan for workers. It allows the employees who lose their jobs the right to choose to continue with the group health insurance benefits provided by their group health plan for a certain period of time under certain circumstances. COBRA is included in the group insurance category and can be availed in a company with twenty or more workers. However, there is a great problem associated with it in terms of premiums.

Based on the stimulus bill passed by Obama administration, I am sure you guys are going to have a lot of questions regarding the COBRA Package. I am going to try and answer some of them. After all in this economy, you never know who ends up being laid off and that is exactly when this package can help you and your family.

US Marshals today raided the offices of Stanford Financial Group in Houston, Texas. Apparently this site is also the HQs of this financial company which oversees around 50 billion dollars of financial assets.
