Looks like the retail mania of offering discounts has not spared even the United States Treasury either. At a time when the Nationwide Tax Forums commence, the treasury invites professionals in the field of finance, mainly tax planners to register early for one of the 6 forums and avail a discount on the full registration fee. The registration fee amounts to $129 usually.
What exactly does the Nationwide Tax Forum do?
The Nationwide Tax Forum conducts seminars and workshops spread over three days with the aim of educating the population on information relating to tax.
These topics cover Tax regulations, changes in the tax schemes as well as its administration. Professionals from the Internal Revenue service come together during these seminars to deliver these lectures. There are many workshops and training seminars too which offer CPE (Continuing Professional Education) credits. There are around 18 credits that can be obtained through these seminars and workshops.
Who can enroll for these programs and what is the pattern of the programmed this year?
Certified Public Accountants and agents usually enroll for this program. This year, the IRS plans to conduct 40 seminars as well as three workshops. These workshops and seminars will qualify the enrolled members for the CPE credits. Another feature is that, out of the 40 seminars, 17 have been set aside for qualifying agents as financial planners. This award will however need to be reviewed by the Certified Financial Planner Board. Members who are a part of any of the following professional organizations are entitled to a discount in the registration fee;

What are the Registration Details for the Tax Forums?
There is a pre- registration fees which costs $206 per person for registering in one city. An on site registration is similar to the on the spot registration which amounts to $335.
